Take The Lead "Dollar-a-Like" Campaign
Dear Take The Lead Friends,
We have great news! TAKE THE LEAD is launching a two-week “Dollar-a-Like” campaign to build our network and spread the message of our mission to propel women to fair and equal shares of leadership positions across all sectors by 2025. We aim to grow our Facebook following by 5000 Likes in the next two weeks.
To encourage you to like our page if you haven’t already done so, and to help us get more likes, generous donors have pledged to give us 1$ for every new “Like” we get on Facebookduring the next two weeks!
With your help, we will raise $5,000 by the end of this campaign in addition to gaining new friends and followers who want to help women reach leadership parity. (If you want to up the ante, we’d be thrilled for you to donate some more dollars too—just click the donate button on this website!)
How can you help? By encouraging your friends and networks to Like our page! Every Facebook post, tweet, re-tweet, and email on behalf of TAKE THE LEAD helps spread the word. Please see sample tweets and Facebook posts you can use below—or make up your own! And you can also share this blogpost using the social media share buttons here.
And remember, for each new Like on our Facebook page, you’ll be helping us raise much-needed funds to develop our learning, mentoring, role model presentations, and world-changing programs!
An extra good reason to start this campaign this week: Tuesday April 9th is Equal Pay Day. Women still make 77 cents to every dollar men make, so propelling women to top leadership rolls is more important than ever. This is a historic moment—if we take it.
