Elle Magazine Touts Glassbreakers Take The Lead Mentorship Launch
Glassbreakers Take The Lead ceiling-smashing approach to mentorship and leadership is making national news.
In a recent Elle Magazine post, “Can ‘Inclusion Technology’ Solve Corporate America’s Diversity Problem?” author Kristina Rodulfo writes: “The company, co-founded by Eileen Carey and Lauren Mosenthal in 2014, has created ‘inclusion technology’ to make it happen. Originally, Glassbreakers focused on women’s peer-to-peer mentorship within companies by using an internal system akin to LinkedIn (Pinterest and Box were among early adopters). Now, at the urging of chief diversity officers from Fortune 500 companies who’ve seen their work, the company has shifted focus to businesses with 10,000 employees or more, offering a social network-style platform for all employees to connect with others based on personal identifications from race, to gender, to sexual orientation, to where you grew up, to whether you’re a cat or dog person.”

With the intention of changing the pattern of only white male executives at the top, Glassbreakers Take The Lead launches with a new approach to mentorship.
“Glassbreakers will keep in the spirit of its original women’s mentorship plan by partnering with Take The Lead, a nonprofit organization that aims to reach gender parity in leadership by 2025. Launching July 15, the partnership will allow women on Glassbreakers to use resources from Take the Lead to connect with peer mentors,” Rudolfo writes.
