Stand UP, Speak OUT: The Personal Politics of Women's Rights.

The recent deaths of Gloria Steinem, Dolly Parton, and Robin Morgan remind us to appreciate the work they did to give women more freedom and equality— and of our responsibility to step up to do the remaining unfinished business.

Join BC Voices president Katherine Brewster and  Take The Lead president Gloria Feldt for the premiere screening of the historical documentary Marriage, Partnering, and Singlehood – Know Your Rights, the newest film in BC Voices’ online docuseries Stand UP, Speak OUT: The Personal Politics of Women's Rights. This documentary tells the dramatic story of American women's 200+ year fight for the freedom to choose whether, when, and with whom to marry, partner, or leave — followed by a live panel discussion where women from diverse backgrounds share their own personal choices. $30 ticket includes screening, panel discussion, reception with refreshments, and Feminist Book Fair.

Tuesday, September 15 at 6:30pm, Dwyer Center 309 West 123rd Street, New York.

Facilitated by Cindi Leive,

Panelists Jamia Wilson, Yesi Morrillo, Aparna Parthasarathy and JP Howard
