Fara is the co-founder of “A Picture’s Worth,” a new journalism technology startup focused on giving voice to women’s stories. She is the former vice president of custom content at Dow Jones & Co., former editorial director at AOL’s Business, Finance and Technology unit and editorial director of international special editions at Newsweek/DailyBeast. She is the author of "The Power of the Purse. How Smart Companies Are Adapting to the World's Most Important Consumers--Women"and is Lead Instructor at the the Poynter College Media Project. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University and lives in West Shokan, N.Y and New York City.
