As we’ve said before in this newsletter quoting Gloria Feldt, Take The Lead’s president, “Positive action is always the best antidote. It interrupts the cycle of negativity. When we do something — anything — it sets off a chain reaction that can lift us up from depression and anxiety.”

Action interrupts the cycle of negativity. When we do something — anything — it sets off a chain reaction that can lift us up from depression and anxiety,” says Gloria Feldt, cofounder, pres @takeleadwomen #Thanksgiving2025 #action #leadership

Here are 11 current and upcoming Take The Lead offerings and happenings that inspire us to gratitude this Thanksgiving.

 1.  Cold Plunge Challenge.

Yes she did it--a cold water plunge as a challenge to raise funds ahead of Giving Tuesday. The goal is to raise enough to fund 100 scholarships for Take The Lead’s trainings. We’re thankful for Gloria’s bold plunge — and for donors who help turn cold water into warm opportunities.

“This Thanksgiving, we’re grateful for everyone who’s brave enough to take the plunge for women’s leadership, and everyone who cheers us on from the warm side. Your generous donations keeps the ripple going,” Feldt says.  “It’s not easy to plunge into icy water — or into leadership when the world is pushing women back. That’s why Take The Lead exists: to transform cold challenges into bold opportunities.”

 2. Online leadership courses.

The 9 Leadership Power Tools Course has more  than 5,000 participant alums who have taken this course either online or in person. Watch this spot because the Thanksgiving elves are busy revamping the self-paced, online courses to include AI support and Gloria’s information vault at your fingertips. It is applicable for those in every level of careers, across industries. Individuals can register for themselves. Organizations can enroll employees. Its differentiation is the way it starts with shifting the mindset around power and intentionality and putting into practice a skillset to accomplish intentions. Unlike most programs that do only training or one or two other interventions, our program includes the whole package that women need to break through barriers and succeed regardless of obstacles: training, coaching and mentoring, role models, thought leadership, and cohort community building. Each woman creates her Strategic Leadership Action Plan.

What Lizette said suns it up: From this course, I can now pin-point exactly where I am in the continuum of embracing and growing my power, leadership and professional growth through these power tools.  It broke it down for me and I could reflect on each one and evaluate where I have been, where I am and how I'm using these to get to where I want to be. –Lisette Flores, Attorney and Activist

3.  50 Women Can Change the World

Yes you can! In our immersive 50 Women Can Change the World programs, participants also create cohort plans to advance women collectively in their industry. Feedback shows that 40% of women who have been through our cohort-based programs achieve significant leadership or pay advancement within six months. And 90% of participants report they feel more powerful, confident, and able to chart their own paths—and more likely to support other women.

4. Solutions for Women’s Leadership Goals.

Take The Lead offers a bounty of programs for companies supporting training for their employees and colleagues with virtual and in-person training, coaching and consulting. At a time when DEI is under attack federally, administrators and leaders in the nonprofit as well as corporate and small business sectors can choose from many offerings that can improve the workplace culture, productivity, profitability and innovation. They can also license the program. Such an investment results in not just transparency and visibility, but retention and profitability for the enterprise.
