Women, Money, & Power - Oh My!
When women embrace their power to lead and have the tools and support to do so, they make choices that change history. Just let that idea sink in for a minute. (It’s that second part—tools and support—that’s all too easy to forget.)
Why is it that even in today’s age, U.S. women make an average of 77 cents for every dollar a man takes home? Clearly our organizations and systems need to change, but women and men must do the work of changing those systems.
And who has the biggest stake in making the change?
Next week, our co-founder Gloria Feldt will speak about exactly this issue for a conversation, “Pioneering Pay Equity: Strategies to Bridge the Gap, Own Your Value and Negotiate Your Worth (POE)” at Watermark’s “Lead On Conference for Women” in Santa Clara, California.
