The Power to Modernize an Industry From the Inside

I didn’t set out to build a trucking insurance agency. While running a safety and compliance business serving trucking companies, I saw firsthand how difficult insurance could be for fleet owners.

Trucking is an incredibly specialized industry, yet much of the insurance process still relies on manual work, disconnected systems and technology that wasn’t built around how trucking risk is actually evaluated. I saw fleet owners spending too much time navigating processes that should have been simpler, while insurance professionals were working with systems that often created more work instead of helping them make better decisions.

That disconnect ultimately led me to launch Get Logan in 2021.

We built Get Logan as a trucking insurance agency first, then began developing our own technology around the realities of the industry. Our platform brings together trucking-specific data, document processing, market information and client servicing to give our team better information earlier in the process and reduce unnecessary manual work.

But I don’t believe technology alone fixes insurance.

The best technology should make experienced people better at what they do. It should help them identify issues sooner, understand risk more clearly and spend less time on repetitive tasks. The judgment behind an insurance decision still matters.

That philosophy continues to shape how we build Get Logan today. I believe some of the biggest opportunities for innovation exist in industries where people have simply accepted that complicated, outdated processes are “just the way things work.”

Sometimes meaningful change starts by knowing an industry well enough to ask why it has to work that way at all.
